Dr. Rodney M. Williams, Sr. - ThD

Pastor Williams was born and reared in Charleston, S.C. He was water baptized at the Refuge Church in Charleston at the age of 8. He received the Holy Ghost at the Refuge Bibleway Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Summerville, S.C. shortly before graduating from South Carolina State College in 1987. Pastor Williams accepted his calling as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1993 while stationed in Stuttgart, Germany on a European military assignment. Major Williams (Ret), as he’s known among his peers of U.S. Army Officers, accepted the responsibility of pastoring a local church in Germany even before he acknowledged his divine call to ministry. This boldness has served him well as he founded and pastored multiple churches in Europe and America over the past three decades. After being ordained to Elder in Manheim, Germany in 1994, he was later recommended for elevation to District Elder by his father in the gospel, Bishop Wesley M. Taylor, Sr., DD. In conjunction with being a vibrant leader and visionary in the church, Pastor Williams went on to achieve a master’s degree in theology and recently in 2023, he earned doctors degree in theology. Henceforth, he’ll forever be honored as Dr. Rodney M. Williams, ThD.
